She studied Pharmacy at the [[University of Malta]] and obtained a Doctorate from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. She held academic appointments at the Universities of Malta, Bath and London. <br /> <br /> ==Career==<br /> Doreen practiced as a pharmacist in NHS Hospitals and in Community Pharmacies. She held senior management positions at IMS Health with responsibility for global data standards for medical and pharmaceutical business intelligence. Currently, she works as a community pharmacist and is a Consultant to the Pharmaceutical Industry. She is the Communications Lead for the Central London Local Pharmacy Practice Forum of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.<br /> <br /> Doreen is the Secretary of the Kingston-upon-Thames Festival of the Performing Arts.
