'''Godwin Cachia''' was born in [[Paola]], [[Malta]] on 12 th January 1953. He is an organist.

At the age of 6 his father [[Paul Cachia]] also a musician (saxophone player) bought an accordion for Godwin and started giving him music lessons.

Godwin carried on studying under different music teachers till eventually under the late Maestro [[Carmelo Pace]] he passed his diploma in music (L.Mus.L.C.M.)

At 14 Godwin got his first fulltime job as a musician playing with his father's band [[The JoyMakers]] at the then [[Armada Nightclub]] in [[Mosta]].

Few years later he met the maltese singer [[Renato]] and they formed the successful band [[Renato and Aquarius]].Their first job was playing every night at the [[Venus nightclub]] at the [[Preluna Hotel]]. Also plenty of Television shows.

Aquarius band got a 45 rpm record with two songs compose by [[Alfred C. Sant]] named Mediterran on a-Side and Marija on B-side with the singer [[Freddie Castelletti]] , biside that Aquarius accompaned many maltese singers like [[Incorvarja Sisters]] and Fr.[[David Azzopardi]].

A year later Renato and Aquarius moved to the newly opened [[Skyroom Cabaret Nightclub]] where Godwin was keyboard playerand bandleader there for 15 years. This gave him the opportunity to back famous artists namely..Paul Daniels, Jimmy Cricket, Leapy Lee, Ken Goodwin, Roy Walker, Ronnie Carol, Jerry Harris (The Comedians)....and other top class acts.

Godwin is now living in Bradford West Yorkshire England where he now works as a solo artist playing in hotels and clubs round Yorkshire.
