Ray was also responsible for writing the lyrics of the original musical Living Legends with book by [[Michael Piscopo]] and music by [[Mark Vella]], which was staged at the [[Mediterranean Conference Centre]] in 1994. Ray also wrote or co-wrote songs for several local bands and artists, participating in a number of festivals and concerts.
