They may be based in the UK, but London rock trio [[Shockleader]] has a very close tie to Malta! Their drummer is none other than [[Ryan Abela]], a familiar and often colourful character on the local music scene. He joined singer and guitarist Willie Scott and bassist Mick Renwick in May last year, and together they have been working hard, developing Shockleader’s snarling brand of rock.
The trio will be performing twice in Malta later this month. The first gig will be at [[Luxol]] on Friday April 20 and will also feature local ska-punk act [[B.N.I.]] Then on Saturday April 21, Shockleader will be playing at [[Rookies]] along with upcoming local band [[Eve Ransom]].
